Document formatting
Formatting makes your project look professional and attractive. It involves the look of the document or website and the way it is structured using a hierarchy of headings, chapters, sections, or pages. A well-formatted document or website is easy to read, attractive, and uses a consistent visual style.
Formatting involves:
document layout (page size, margins, page numbering, headers, footers, etc.)
typesetting (font, type size, and style)
creating and applying consistent style sheets (such as for headings, text, tables, and references).
I can format your material in Microsoft Word according to your specifications (e.g. specific journal, clinical study report, or thesis formatting requirements) or branding, or create a consistent format for you in Word with style sheets. If the material is already formatted, I can check the formatting is appropriate and consistently applied. I am also happy to format PowerPoint presentations. (Note however, I don’t redraw figures or retype large amounts of copy.)
Please note: if your document is going to be professionally designed, having consistent formatting also ensures that the text is much easier for the designer to lay it out in their design programs.
